Every other room in this house had been touched... except for the kids bathroom, and she needed some love.
We took elements from the styling in the rest of the house, and added a few of our own 😊
With a little elbow grease and a polish we were able to keep the original tub, but new fixtures, tile, niche, and drain.
New custom vanity and over toilet storage from , along with a countertop by Bob Jr *GOD bless him.
New floor tile, door, trim, paint and texture on the walls, fan and my personal favorite, new recessed lighting.
This should be a bathroom the kiddos can grow up with 😊

Starting off 2025 with a splash of blue!
Hit the usual amount of bumps during a gut, thankful we found the cast iron drains had corroded before we put a new bathroom on top of them. After those got sorted we hit the ground running. Opened up the shower, and did floor to ceiling tile. New toilet, floor, and window. Updated pedestal sink, and the homeowners design of offset niches in the shower. Bathrooms remodels are my favorite magic trick :)

Remember the shed remodel? The outside got an upgrade too :)
The Structure. 38'x12' mix of cedar and Douglas fir. This gorgeous hunk of lumber is held together and accented by Simpson
R-panel metal roof, and an inside gutter to catch run off from both sides and make sure the recreation area stays dry.
2 fans inside and this baby is ready for any kind of summer get-together you can imagine.
Does your back yard need an upgrade?

Still have some minor finishing touches on this space, but I couldn't wait to share :)
Large shed on the homeowners property, half a storage space/garage, the other half, a blank canvas we built the Mrs. her dream office in. Drywall, texture, paint. 6'x5' window. Exterior door. Recessed lights and fans. Minisplit for temperature control. New flooring, and an 18'x8' built in cabinet for all their storage needs. Ain't she a beaut?
Oh, and Pedro the bull needed his spot on the wall :)

Took advantage of the weather in September and brightened this place up with new siding, windows, and paint.
Nice to get outside for a bit. One thing about this business, it's never boring 😊

The Emerald Opus

1920's house. Full gut to dirt. Rebuilt the joists, subfloor, and floor. Expanded into surrounding 3 closets. Waterproofed entire room like it's a shower, can just spray down to clean. Custom waterfall edge vanity out of solid piece of quartz. Wall to Wall niche shelf. Gold EVERYTHING. And 280 square feet of tile. Ain't she a beaut?
Also, side note. Sometimes we design, or it's a collaboration with the homeowner, credit where credit is due, this was all the dream of the homeowner, we were just happy to make it real :)

Another beauty in the books :)
1980s begone. It was a pleasure to get rid of the carpet, wall paper, and popcorn ceiling, and open up the space for LIGHT.
Luxury shower, recessed lighting, new plumbing, insulation throughout, texture, paint, LVP flooring, and a new vanity. 3 weeks to give this master bath a new life.

Bring us all your 80s bathrooms.
Homeowner wanted classic, and a touch of character. Oh, and a tub she can soak in :)
From the herringbone on the floor, to the aged turquoise penny tile and picket subway in the shower, to the repurposed dresser as a vanity with a vessel sink, it's a clean timeless look. I can't wait to see it with her rugs, the floating shelves over the cabinet, and her art hung over the tub.
Now THAT'S a master bath 😊

This was a fun one 😊
Taking a dingy old bathroom and turning it into an oasis.
We gutted her to the studs and then some. Spent some time in the attic tracking down lines. New electrical and recessed lighting, new plumbing, insulation, drywall, texture, new window, new door, new floor, luxury shower, and this gorgeous 6' vanity the homeowner found. 3 weeks start to finish. Goodness I love this job. Who's next?!

I love a good bathroom renovation :)
This one had it's fair share of twists, turns and complications.
Starting with the plumbing from the 60s, then the diminutive dimensions. We upgraded to an extra deep tub, which required pulling the door and casing off, removing the toilet and wainscoating, and shaving a framing 2x4 down by 3/8 of an inch to get it into place. Our only access to hook up the drain was a 6"x8" hole cut through the linen closet in the master bathroom. A closet that was exactly as wide as my shoulders. All new upgraded plumbing to compliment the new fixtures, along with leveled framing furring and blocking to help with the eventual tile and articulated shower door installation. Finished off with a custom vanity to fit the space perfectly, and now we're just waiting for the painting to be done by the homeowner. Can't wait to share those pictures!

This week on adventures in Handy Ma'am, we floored a ceiling.
Cute Mid-Century Modern getting a face lift, and we got called in to put an updated old school touch in the living room. Gotta love those chamfered ceilings :)
If you're going to do this, don't go cheap on the flooring. And no matter how many tubes of adhesive you think you need, you're wrong, double it.

The soggy shower saga.
We were called by a client to fix a wonky shower pan. It had been done a couple years ago, but had lumps now. I figured it was a thinset issue, or they had trouble with a mortar pan.... if only. Dug down and discovered dirt. It's a slab house. The previous contractor carted in enough dirt to make a 4" thick underlayment, then put the thinset and tile right on top. It was soaked. The un-waterproofed-membraned hardie backer was also soaked and we found mold. Oh the mold. Full gut, to the studs, which needed to be furred out as they were a little bowed from the water. New pan, plumbing, fixtures, curb, cubby, hardie backer, waterproofing, and then tile. All done, all better :)

This converted out building/bunk house had been suffering water damage for... awhile. Termites had come and gone by the time we landed on the scene. A month of demo, re-framing, leveling, a new roof, updated plumbing/electric, a new floor, and extensive weather proofing through out, and here we are. New life.
