The Paint Center We have been serving Abilene, TX since 1971! Let our team help you out with all your paint needs. We were founded in 1971 by Dean Hagler, under the name T.C.I.

The Paint Center has been serving Abilene and the "Friendly Frontier" for over 35 years. Paint Center. Our initial location was on North 6th. We later moved to the North 1st location. In 1983, we purchased land on South 1st and built our present building. We have gone through several remodels, and now have what we feel is one of the nicest, cleanest, most exciting paint stores in Texas. Our decor

ative painting showroom is unique, treating faux finishes like a work of art and then displaying them like real art. We feel that if you can see it, feel it, and learn how to do it--you'll want it! Our staff is creative, knowledgeable and fun. We try and build relationships with our customers, not just sell them something. We are fortunate to have many third generation customers. Before you hire a "paint contractor" please read this and watch the video. A longtime friend of mine needed some texture work done on their ceiling. She had got a price from another "contractor" who quoted her 3 grand for the project. While talking about it at work her friend overheard her and said "my husband could do it for 2 grand". (keep in mind he hadn't even seen the job) They had been friends for a long time so she decided to let him do the work because of the trust she had for them. He was to apply an orange peel texture to all the ceilings in the home. The walls were in perfect condition. The homeowner covered up some of the furniture "assuming" he would cover everything else up! Well he didn't and the little video will give you a glimpse into what they are now dealing with. He simply entered the home and began to spray texture on the ceilings without protecting anything. Not the floors, walls, window coverings, etc!!!! Now they are faced with HOURS and HOURS of clean-up on top of having to re-paint the entire home. He walked off the job after figuring out what a mess he had made. I don't want to post his name but if you call me I will gladly tell you WHO NOT TO USE!!! Before you hire ANYONE to work in your home we suggest getting THREE references from RECENT customers. Sadly there are a lot more bad contractors than good ones. Call us for a few names you can trust. You've been warned!!
