First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of my supporters, whether a customer, a reference for business, and those who have been involved with helping me in need. As of Today, we are no longer in business as a day to day operation. I have a new career opportunity as a commercial hvac refrigeration technician and could not pass up this chance for a career improvement along with benefits. Since 2017, I wanted to bring the best to the residential side of air conditioning and heating, and for 7 years I've been making it possible. With price increases, more companies getting in the trade, and side job hustlers, it's gotten very hard to stay competitive and run a business at the same time. My state license will remain active as will my phone, but availability will be very limited to after hours and weekends when I'm available. Thank you again for the love and support!!

Just a friendly reminder that airflow is the reason ac works, but at the same time the reason it fails. Get a maintenance check with filter and a condenser wash before we hit triple digits again. Who wants to pay for more electricity just because??

Dirty filter: Causes unit to freeze from lack of air, or heat limit trip in heating mode.

Dirty indoor coil: No filter in place or unit not sealed properly. Same issues as dirty filter, freezing and overheat on heat mode.

Dirty outside coil: Overheating causing compressor to lockout or fail, electrical parts like capacitor to fail, long run time and efficiency loss on cooling.

Seeing as we have close to 90* weather already, the number 1 call is always, "I think my unit needs freon"

So a few tips to ensure you're ready for the heat, start with the following...

1. Change air filter! Low air flow across coil is the most common reason for not cooling or freezing up. Dirty blower and evap coil from filter neglect will result in expensive cleaning repair!

2. Outdoor unit coil may need a rinse. This causes high head pressure and low efficiency which increases electric usage. With longer runtime, this makes outdoor parts fail prematurely.

3. Manage your thermostat better or use a programming schedule if the thermostat is equipped with this function. Do not turn off when you leave for work and return home and demand 70* in 5 minutes. Unit is now working harder with increased heat load and you get 0 savings this way!

4. You may indeed be low on refrigerant, if this is the case you may have a leak in the system. Cost varies widely on repair (if possible) and type of refrigerant.

Is your heat pump running and running? Its okay! This extremely cold weather is gonna make your heat pump have extended run time and continuous defrost cycles. If its keeping you comfortable don't mess or worry about runtime. IF its not keeping up and not making you comfortable such as an older unit or a system that needs work, you may switch over to aux or emergency heat. Here is a video of a defrost in action.
