I went to Disney World (aka The Sawmill) again on Saturday and finally got to bring back the black walnut I’ve been patiently (Impatiently!!!) waiting to finish drying. All the slabs are 2 inches thick with one 3 inches thick.

So what will I make with these? Oh, all the possibilities are endless. I am thinking about sofa tables, entry tables, coffee tables, end tables, benches, and the list goes on.

Good morning to all! So I’ve got this item made by my brother-in-law, you can find him at Hagaman’s Woodcraftets on Etsy, which we used at our daughter’s wedding last summer to dress up some plastic coolers. No one wanted weathered, mismatched coolers sticking out like a sore thumb so we came up with this idea. My question to you is would this be something you would be interested in? Christmas trees cut on the band saw. Yes Christmas has passed but there is only 357 crafting days until Christmas Day 2025!

The main making project right now is 300 paddles for Emory and Henry University and their fraternities and sororities. After that will be finishing the woodshop expansion and then making stuff for holidays.
