This project was a big undertaking! We wish we’d thought to take before pictures — but heres a small snapshot of the after. If it gives you any idea, 75% of our time was spent clearing and the rest building fence. This customer had a vision for her family’s home place and we helped make that vision a reality.

This project yields a combination of 4 rail board fence backed with woven, five strand barbed wire, and standalone woven wire.

Now is the time to call about spring and summer projects! We offer agriculture fence installation, waterline and trough installation, clearing, and more. Message, text, or call for a quote.

Well, January has been one full of snow, ice, bitter temps…but we’re rallying. Thankful for a hardworking crew that gets the job done in less than ideal conditions.🥶❄️

We’ll have fence to share soon, but we’ve been handling a lot of clearing and debris removal. We’re working on a combo of board fence, barbed wire, and woven for this customer. More to share soon!

Not only are we reflecting on 2024 today, but we’re also looking back at Stoney Brook’s first full calendar year of business and boy, are we grateful.

We appreciate our hardworking staff, our suppliers, our customers, our friends and family, and many others for the support of our business. We are so proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time and are excited to see what the future has in store for us.

That’s a wrap on round one of this project! We installed 2,700 ft. of 6 inch woven wire, 3,600 ft. of waterline, 7 LB Cobett water troughs, and hung nine gates (including custom trough panels).

This project utilized Bekaert Tightlock fixed knot woven wire. This product is specifically designed with contractors in mind, resulting in 660ft rolls of wire, which yield fewer splices. In turn, the customer benefits a stronger fence and quicker installation. Additionally, the wire is bezinal coated for a 30-year guarantee.

Setting up camp for awhile! We’ve got 10,000+ ft. of fence to build, 3,000 ft. of waterline and seven troughs to install.

Sharing a small little project on home turf from a few weeks ago: 4 rail board fence on 6” perfect posts with 3 strands of electrified high tensile on the backside of the boards.

Board fence is our favorite to build. It really maximizes curb appeal at our 126 year old farmhouse while maintaining farm functionality.

If you or a farmer you know has suffered damage from hurricane Helene in SWVA, please check out this post for more information on how you may be eligible for assistance.

For our fellow contractors, there is also a link where you can submit information on what you’re willing to contribute to the cause.

Many counties in Southwest Virginia have received significant damages because of Helene. Many have reached out asking how they can help and are wanting to specifically assist farmers in need. Extension Agents in Southwest Virginia are working to assess farmer needs and the availability of donations. If you have anyone interested in donating, we are working to coordinate those efforts. We are trying to get materials where they are needed. We also do not want to create problems with donations in areas not setup to accept. Please share the attached flyer with those who might be interested in donating. We are working with the Virginia Cattlemen’s Association on accepting financial donations and hope to have that set up soon. We are absolutely devastated at the aftermath that hurricane Helene left behind in our Appalachian mountains. Our hearts are heavy with heartbreak for our neighbors in Southwest Virginia, Western North Carolina, and East Tennessee. The topography of these areas is forever changed, but with time, they will rebuild stronger than ever. Along with many others, we are here to support those efforts in any way possible. We are committed to serving our community and surrounding areas whether that is through volunteer work, donations, or repair/rebuild assistance. We encourage everyone to explore ways – big or small – to help this beautiful area of the world recover. You can’t break the spirit of Appalachia.

Old South perfect posts are no match for Hurricane Helene! We showed up to the job today and an old hickory was down, but the in progress fence was spared.

Sending thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by the storm and flooding — especially here in Appalachia. It’s been a wild couple of days with the weather.
