Hey, here’s another Thanksgiving Tip for you.

If you want your Potato Salad or Macaroni Salad to be 🔥, you should start preparing it NOW!

Allowing the ingredients to work their magic overnight is key!

This will make the infamous question of “Who made the Potato Salad” a complimentary inquiry.

A few Tips on how to cook your greens for Thanksgiving:

1) your greens do not need to appear to be in a swimming pool once in the pot

2) NO chemical substance is needed to clean the greens. Cool water from the tap and a little patience is all that’s needed. (Vinegar and Baking Soda are optional)

3) While you’re cleaning the greens, you should be cooking your smoked turkey necks or pork product

4) Stems are bitter tasting, remove them

5) The cut for your greens should be close to the consistency of how romaine lettuce is prepared for a Caesar salad

6) Time, please allow for plenty of it. Your greens need to cook for a minimum of 3 hours at medium heat

A few tips on how to make your dressing for Thanksgiving.

1) Jiffy mix is fine but the old fashioned corn meal way will bless your life.

2) Your celery, onions and bell peppers should be cut very fine.

3) Bell’s Poultry Seasoning is your friend!

4) Smoked Turkey Necks are a good option for one of your meats. Add some celery, onion and seasonings to your water while cooking the turkey necks this will make for a savory broth to bring the dressing together.

5) It’s ok for the turkey necks to swim. You will need probably 80% of the broth to ensure that your dressing doesn’t turn out dry

6) Take your time and pick the meat off of the bone. No one wants fine bits of bone in their dressing.

A few TIPS for making Baked Macaroni & Cheese for Thanksgiving! 👀

1) Only boil your macaroni noodles until they are half way done. The rest of the cooking process will take place in the oven. This prevents your mac n cheese from becoming mushy from over cooked noodles

2) Evaporated Milk, Heavy Cream, or Whole Milk. Please use one of the three.

3) Your primary cheese should be sharp or extra sharp cheddar

4) Black pepper is a must

5) Make a bechamel (cheese sauce) for that extra creamy texture

6) The cheese must be mixed unsparingly throughout the pan of noodles before going into
the oven

7) A layer of cheese should be on top and then covered with foil and placed in the oven.

8 ) For that good golden brown color and crispy texture evenly across, remove the foil when it’s about 3/4 done, and allow to continue cooking until finished.

9) Golden brown to semi burnt edges are extremely acceptable for this dish!

A few cooking tips as you prepare for your Thanksgiving Feast.

If you’re preparing Potato Salad or Macaroni Salad for thanksgiving these ingredients are NOT optional:

Onion, Celery, Bell Pepper, Sweet Relish, Boiled Egg, Mustard, Black Pepper and Paprika.

Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip is a matter of personal preference.
