Newsome left his job with Mingledorff’s to start his own company. This company was Albany Air Conditioning and Heating Company, Inc., on Roosevelt Avenue. Along with his wife Mildred’s help the company’s name became trusted, and business also rapidly grew. Albany Air Conditioning and Heating Company earned a stellar reputation that has made it a community mainstay. We are proud of the history we h

ave built. As they grew there became a need for more space and also additional employees. Albany Air met this need with a new building on Broad Avenue. This was before the company moved to its current location on West Gordon Ave. Newsome’s son, Edward C. Newsome Jr., came home from college to work for the family business. In 1990, he purchased the company from his father. Ed Jr. has continued to grow the company with the help of 50+ employees. The team is responsible for installing and also servicing thousands of systems across Southwest Georgia. Frozen coils usually mean something’s wrong with your AC. Here are common causes:
1️⃣ Blocked Airflow: Dirty filters or vents can stop air from moving properly, causing the coils to freeze.
2️⃣ Low Refrigerant: If your system is low on refrigerant, it can’t cool properly, leading to freezing.
