Hi friends, Yes, I am still on a doll painting hiatus. I’ve been exploring canvas painting this year. Traditional, abstract, and even some pencil drawings in there too. I still have no idea when I’ll get back to painting dolls, but if you’d like to join me as I explore art in other mediums, I created a new page to share my works. Hi friends! I had a few recent emails asking where I’ve been. The answer? I’m still painting, but I’m on an extended doll hiatus. Lately I’ve been stretching my art muscles and painting with acrylics on canvases instead of on vinyl faces. I needed to do something fresh for a while. I found a YouTube artist, Cinnamon Cooney-The Art Sherpa, organizing something called Acrylic April. We were challenged to paint everyday for the entire month. It can be a picture she provides or anything we like! I’ve done 20 in 20 days and here’s a sample of some of my favorites so far. I’m sure I’ll pick up my tiny brushes and dolls again, especially with the Integrity convention coming in the fall. OK! Whew! Back from convention, rested and feeling good. I have some news! Thanks to my darling husband and some great advice from another doll artisan I am trying both new technology and new websites for my sales. First, from now on, I can take credit cards in person at sales events like convention and doll shows. I joined Square, so swipe cards, chip cards... I've got it covered now.

Second... I finally got my Etsy shop set up. It seems like many people prefer it over eBay. I plan to use it for fixed price sales, such as the Color Infusion doll repaints I have available, perhaps also enhancement dolls. It will just save the emailing back and forth when someone is interested. If you have any questions or something seems off, send me a message! I'm learning a new site and can use the feedback.

I’ve been busy getting ready for the Integrity Toys Convention. Can’t believe it’s so soon already! I’ll have repaints and enhancements for sale. Poppy, FR, nu.Face, even Color Infusion. Stop by room sales to see me and say hello if you’re going to be there too! I should have a table in the sales room too, but this is my first time getting one so bear with me while I figure it out. ;) With that, time to get back to painting, and to finish up the last few dolls.

I wanted to share what's on my painting desk. Madison Montgomery from the American Horror Story doll line. I liked her sculpt, so I bought a new n**e off eBay. I don't typically specialize in portrait dolls, so instead she's just meant to be more realistic and pretty. Just a fun little project I worked on this weekend.

Just listed a new girl on eBay. "Stevie" is a former Fashion Explorer Vanessa. She has received a full repaint, and her hair was washed and returned to it's original style, without added product. I wanted to cut it short, but there just aren't many raven Vanessas so she kept her ponytail. :) Check her full photoshoot on ebay and perhaps give her a home.
